FAQ: FAQ

What's with the name of the co-op?

The word scholé comes from a Greek word that means "restful learning," with the connotation of "contemplation," "conversation," and "reflection."  Our name, Ordo Amoris, is a latin phrase meaning an "order of love” or the ordering of one’s affections or priorities.  Once Christ is seated in His rightful place in our affections, our love for Him will sanctify our hearts and passions, leading us to value the things of the world appropriately.  As Augustine put it, ordo amoris is “the brief and true definition of virtue.”

What role do parents play at OASA?

Parents are responsible to continue educating when at home.  OASA is not meant to replace the homeschool parents' role as their child's legally responsible educator.

Where and when do classes meet?

We meet at st. Andrew's Anglican Church, 3325 McCann Ave., in Cheyenne. TBD for the 2020-2021 academic year.

What does it cost to participate?

OASA is a non-profit.  All prices are based on actual costs to the co-op.  Pricing is listed with the classes offered.  Please locate it there.
